Hong Kong's winter tradition, the AIA Carnival, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year!
This year's festival will be packed with excitement, including a thrilling circus, a variety of games with large and small stuffed toys as prizes, bounce houses that are hugely popular with young children, bars and food stalls themed around the Hong Kong specialty "Tai Pai Dang," rides that can be enjoyed by both adults and children, and photo spots that are sure to look great!
First, when you enter, you will need to get an electronic token card. Games and rides are all operated using a "token" system, and you just tap this card. There are places throughout the park where you can charge your electronic token card, which is very convenient.
The first thing that catches your eye when you enter the venue are the numerous gaming tables.

There are a variety of games, from ring toss and shooting games to fishing, which may look simple but are quite difficult, while others are surprisingly easy even for children.
Have fun playing with your friends, or catch your partner's favorite character and make them fall in love with you again. Oh, dad, don't get too absorbed in the game and forget about your kids!
Before you know it, it's time for the circus, and you can step inside this charming circus tent that's reminiscent of the movie Dumbo.
A comedic clown and dancers wearing gorgeous feathers appear, and as the excitement builds with a classic trapeze act, the next thing you know is a string of astonishing acrobatics, the likes of which you've never seen before.
The performers are a very international team, hailing from Colombia, Ethiopia, Brazil, the UK and many other countries. Please enjoy their thrilling performance to the fullest and give them a big round of applause and cheers.
Please note that this circus requires tickets. As it is very popular, we strongly recommend that you make a reservation in advance. here.)
If you're feeling a bit hungry around here, why not go and satisfy your hunger?
Ta-dah! It's Dai Pai Dong (Hong Kong style food stall). Once you pass through this gate, you can get your hands on the golden drink that is only available to adults.
The atmosphere inside is also great. Take a break and enjoy some draft beer and some snacks like french fries. You can enjoy the AIA Carnival without drinking alcohol, but drinking alcohol can make you feel even more cheerful, which is a fun way for adults to enjoy the event!
There are also plenty of other food stalls to tempt you, including Indian curry, French crepes, Mexican tacos, Hong Kong specialties such as egg waffles and ice cream, so even children who can't drink the golden drink will be satisfied.
Now that you've satisfied your hunger, take the kids to the bounce house and let them play to their heart's content.

There is a large slide and things to run around on while bouncing around. This will definitely get the kids to bed early tonight.
Next, let's try out the thrilling rides that are the highlight of the traveling amusement park. Dance music is blaring from every ride, so you can't help but feel excited even before you get on!

Many of Hong Kong's buildings reach high into the sky, and so do many of the rides at the AIA Carnival, allowing you to let your body and mind soar into the sky.
Don't forget to take photos at the many photo spots in the park. Take cute photos of your kids, take lovey-dovey photos of couples, or have mom stretch out her arms and take a selfie with the whole family!

There are plenty of fun photogenic spots, such as ferocious dinosaurs against the backdrop of city buildings, a world of dwarves, the neon streets of Hong Kong, and signs that look like a mix of Dotonbori and Kabukicho.
Doesn't this look like Gori from Garage Sale? No, it's Koichi Sato! It's also fun to joke around and stroll around the photo spots.
Inside the park, there's a balloon twister that will make little things out of balloons, a long-legged clown walking around waving his hand and holding a bubble machine, and plenty of other play equipment that you can touch and play with, as well as a free stage, so you're sure to have fun all day long!

We hope you all enjoy the AIA Carnival to the fullest in winter in Hong Kong!
