Hello. Glamping and camping are too hot this summer, so I went on a staycation with my dog. Recently, there are more and more dog-friendly hotels in Hong Kong, but I wanted to experience a resort atmosphere rather than being in the city, so I stayed at the WM Hotel in Sai Kung.
Although information about dogcations is available on the website, we made our reservation by calling the hotel directly. There are designated rooms where dogs are allowed. All rooms on the G floor of one building are dog-friendly, and there are quite a few rooms available. Please note that rooms where you can camp on the rooftop do not allow dogs.
WM Hotel is right next to the Sai Kung public pool. We went there by car as usual (parking is free for guests for 24 hours after check-in), but it was less than a 10-minute walk from the bus stop in the center of Sai Kung.
Check-in starts at 15 p.m. When I arrived just after 15 p.m., there was already a long line.

It was a weekday, but it took just under 30 minutes from checking in to entering the room. Unfortunately, the length of the waiting time at check-in seems to have not improved in the year since the hotel opened.
Dogs can be brought on a leash in the lobby and accommodation buildings that allow dogs. Dogs are not allowed to shower in the guest rooms, but they can climb onto the beds. Dog toilets, bowls, and beds are provided, and wet tissues and toilet sheets are provided.
Once you've checked in, head straight to the pool. You need to make a reservation at the fitness center, which is based on time. I left my dog with my husband and went to the pool with my daughter. You will need a safe entry card to enter the pool, so don't forget your cell phone. The pool is on the top floor. It's a low-rise hotel, but there are no tall buildings around, and the infinity pool overlooking the Sai Kung sea was amazing.
For dinner, we went to the center of Sai Kung. There are many dog-friendly restaurants in Sai Kung, but we decided to try seafood for the first time in a while.

It took about 10 minutes to walk along the seaside, interacting with many dogs. The restaurant also provided a dog cart for meals, which was very useful.
On the way back, while walking along the coast, I came across some wild cows.
Breakfast is served at the hotel restaurant. There is a dogcation plan for two people, and they are free. Dogs can eat and drink at the tables outside the restaurant, under the chapel.
My husband wanted to eat something in Sai Kung town, so I asked him to bring back the famous pineapple buns as a souvenir.
After breakfast, we went to the pool again. The atmosphere was different depending on the position of the sun in the evening and in the morning.
The hotel's convenience store has a wide variety of items, from groceries to miscellaneous goods, and the prices are also reasonable, so you don't have to go to a convenience store.
This is a new hotel with no shops in the arcade yet. The service is still rough, but it may be comfortable for those with dogs or children. There is a public pool with a slide and a beach where you can do kayaking and SUP nearby. You can also go to the islands from Sai Kung Pier. This is the perfect hotel for enjoying Sai Kung to the fullest.
