What is a film that offers a new awakening experience?

The first awakening experience film, "Kuu", received a series of complaints from audiences after its release in 2016. The film, which is made up of beautiful yet heavy images, music, and narration, has no story and was perceived as a puzzling piece. However, about half a year later, comments such as "After watching it, my worries were mysteriously solved," "I felt resolved," and "I was able to take a new step forward" began to be heard. It spread by word of mouth as a "life-changing film," and is currently being screened nationwide along with the second film, "Uru" (1). The director himself will be making an appearance at this live event.

He studied filmmaking in New York, and his first feature-length film, "MARU," was highly praised at film festivals around the world. "Socrates Draws a Circle," the predecessor to "Kuu," won the Jury Prize at the Cine Pobre Film Festival in Cuba. He is currently working in Japan, and is engaged in a wide range of filmmaking activities that go beyond conventional film fields.

After graduating from a university in Ohio, he worked in New York for about 15 years producing TV programs for Japan. After that, he traveled around the world for about two years producing independent documentaries on developing regions and medical care, and moved to Hong Kong while editing an independent film. He launched Hong Kong LEI in 2014 and published it alone for the first year. After that, he gradually built a team through nomadic management and has continued to do so to this day. It has been seven years since the publication began.
